John Wyclif (d. 1384) was among the leading schoolmen of fourteenth-century Europe. He was an outspoken controversialist, critic of the church and, in his last days at Oxford, the author of the greatest heresy England had ever seen. Throughout his academic career, Wyclif produced a vast number of scholarly works in Latin, ranging from his early logical and philosophical writings to his mature theological texts, pastoral writings and polemical tracts. To date, however, very little has been available in English translation. This collection represents the first attempt to offer a representative sample of Wyclif's Latin works in translation in a single volume.
